The Results tab is the one-page overview of a mod file: where the mod stands, what's driving it, and the numbers behind the calculation.
Mod graph
The graph compares three values:
Current mod: the mod as calculated from the file.
Minimum mod: the lowest mod the account could have with no claims in the experience period.
Controllable mod: the part of the current mod above the minimum, which is driven by claims and can be improved.
Claim breakdown
Shows how claims split between medical-only and indemnity, and between open and closed.
Insights
Compares the number of claims to the number expected for an account of this size and class, and flags whether the account has a frequency problem (too many claims) or a severity problem (claims that are too large).
Calculation summary
Total expected losses: losses expected for this account's payroll and class codes.
Expected primary losses: the portion of expected losses below the state's split point.
Expected excess losses: the portion of expected losses above the split point.
Actual losses entered: total incurred losses as entered on the file.
Actual losses used in calculation: losses after the state's rating rules are applied, such as per-claim limits and the medical-only reduction.
Actual primary losses: the portion of actual losses below the split point.
Actual excess losses: the portion of actual losses above the split point.
Ballast and weighting value: stabilizing values used in the mod formula, shown when the state uses them.
