Rate Advisor estimates an account's workers' compensation premium with every carrier that files in its state and ranks the carriers from lowest to highest premium.
How it works
Rate Advisor is a national database of loss costs from NCCI and from independent bureaus such as California, Minnesota and Wisconsin. For each carrier, it applies that carrier's filed loss cost multiplier or its exact filed rates to the account's payroll and class codes, then ranks the results. Carriers with more than one company show each company separately, so you can see how a carrier's preferred and higher-risk companies compare.
Results are estimates based on carrier filings, not quotes.
Two ways to use it
From a mod file. Open the mod file and select the Rate Advisor tab. Rate Advisor pulls the payroll and class codes from the most recent policy periods on the file, so there's nothing to enter.
On its own. Select Rate Advisor from the left menu, then enter the account name, state, class codes and payroll. Use this for prospects when you don't have a mod worksheet.
