How to Edit the Name of an Existing Mod File

You can change how a mod file is named in Mod Advisor and on reports, along with its key details, from the Edit Mod Data option. Editing these details doesn't change the mod calculation data.

Edit a mod file's details

  1. On the dashboard, open the Actions menu on the mod file.

  2. Select Edit Mod Data.

  3. Update any of these fields:

    • Risk name: the name shown inside Mod Advisor.

    • Report display name: the name printed on reports. Use this when the client wants a different name on reports, such as a DBA, without changing it in the system.

    • Rating effective date: see How to Change or Update the Rating Effective Date.

    • Date produced: when the bureau produced the worksheet.

    • File type: Primary, Scenario, Future, Historical or Imported. See Understanding File Types in Mod Advisor.

Save your changes.

Tip

  1. The account name comes from the name on the experience rating worksheet when you import it. If that name isn't what your client goes by, change the report display name so reports look right without breaking the link to the bureau record.
